Family camp out at Splash! This weekend
Campers will set up tents and sleeping backs in a picnic area in front of Buccaneer Bay where there will be a dinner and dessert served before lights out and a continental breakfast will be served in the morning. After breakfast campers will head off for some fishing at Regional Park.
The fee is $36 for the event, discounted to $29 for juniors and seniors, and $5 off for season pass holders.

Phantom Projects Theatre Group fundraiser and performance Saturday
La Mirada- Two events will be held Saturday by La Mirada based Phantom Projects recently entered its 22nd year of theatre that is mostly by teens and for teens.
The first event at the La Mirada Theatre at 1 pm. will be the first glimpse of the groups' Young Artist Project that sent a group of 20 teens that were selected from hundreds of hopefuls would spend 14 days together creating a production that will 'dazzle theatergoers.
Ticket prices begin at $20, and proceeds benefit production development and school tours by the group.
Later Saturday a cabaret gala will be this year's theme for a fundraiser featuring dinner and live on-stage musical performance, and a silent auction to benefit the non-profit program that cultivates local teen talent and produces theatre productions also focused at teens,
