Forecast: Weekend will remain hot and muggy with daytime highs near 90.

The word 'extrme' is no longer being used with the term 'heat wave' as forecasters have backed off a prediction yesterday that triple-digit weather would arrive by next Tuesday.

Not California humid

The La Mirada area will remain warmer and more humid than normal through the weekend,

 Yesterday it was 91 degrees after an overnight low of 71.  Today and Saturday it will remain sunny and warm up to near 90 on both days and just a slight bit warmer on Sunday at 92.   Overnight lows during the period will be 68-70.

Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day next week when a high of 98 will be expected.

In case you were wondering, the humidity that we are experiencing which sets the current dewpoint at 65 degrees is humidity typically found in Hawaii. You do not experience Florida humid until that dewpoint is in the 70's.
