LA MIRADA- More than 100 first responders from multiple agencies will participate in an active-shooter training drill at Biola University this Wednesday morning, April 19 beginning at 7 a.m.
Members of the Sheriff's Department's Tactics and Survival Training Unit will be on hand to provide local deputies, firefighters and Biola Campus Safety staff the skills needed to deal with an active shooter and multiple victims.
Topics will include rapid-response and rescue tactics, tactical planning, multi-agency coordination.
A key component of the drill will be a realistic simulation that will include emergency vehicle response, role-playing victims screaming, simulated gunfire sounds.
