Breaking News: Five arrested at major La Mirada marijuana grow discovery

warehouse.

Deputies unexpectedly discovered the operation after a witness called the Norwalk 911/Desk Operation reporting several individuals were breaking into the warehouse located in the 14700 block of Industry Circle located in the industrial south end off Artesia Blvd.

1,100 marijuana plants were seized from the warehouse, some of which can be viewed in a Sheriff's Department photo posted on its social media account.

The grow operation is illegal due to a ban La Mirada has in place on all commercial marijuana operations in the city and operating without approval by the state.

The wholesale value of the plants seized is close to $1.1 million.
