11:00 a.m. An assault was reported in the 16900 block of Valley View Ave.
4:00 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 13600 block of Dalewood Place.
11:37 p.m. A theft was reported in the 14000 block of Larwin Road.
Thursday, Aug. 2
12:30 a.m. A break-in to a commercial vehicle was reported in the 8200 block of Ashgrove Drive in unincorporated La Mirada located in Orange County.
1:39 p.m. An arrest in the 14600 block of Leffingwell Road was made for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
6:26 p.m. A drunk driving arrest was made at La Mirada Blvd and Foster Road.
6:41 p.m. A shoplifting arrest in the 12400 block of La Mirada Blvd.
Friday, Aug. 3
1:52 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 14900 block of Telegraph Road.
9:20 p.m. A drunk driving arrest was made at Burgess Avenue and Valeda Drive.
Saturday, Aug. 4
3:00 p.m. Domestic violence was reported in the 14800 block of Firestone Blvd.
Sunday, Aug. 5
10:13 a.m. An arrest for a misdemeanor weapons violation was made in the 15300 block of Rosecrans Ave.
7:46 p.m. An argument at a birthday party led to a 16-year-old boy shooting a man in his 20's at Gardenhill Park at 14435 Gardenhill Drive. The man was taken to a local hospital by private auto before Fire Medics reached the scene. The juvenile was tackled by onlookers and held for deputies to take into custody without further incident. The injuries to the victim were not deemed to be serious.
Monday, Aug. 6
3:58 p.m. A theft was reported in the 15300 block of Rosecrans Avenue.
Tuesday, Aug. 7
1:17 a.m. Felony vandalism occurred in the 15800 block of Imperial Hwy. (Note: A loss of $400 or more raises the crime to a felony level.)
2:00 p.m. Three separate thefts of auto equipment and parts was reported in the 12000 block of La Mirada Blvd.
Thursday, Aug. 9
1:30 a.m. A semi-truck was reported stolen at 15000 Firestone Blvd.
9:30 a.m. A theft was reported at a business in the 14000 block of Imperial Hwy.
7:40 p.m. An assault was reported in the 15300 block of San Bruno Drive.
