Bus Driver sentenced
Norwalk- A former school bus driver was sentenced to two years in state prison in the death of a 19 year-old autistic teen caused by overheating after being left alone on a bus for seven hours in Whittier.back in 2015
Temperatures that day were close to 100 degrees.
The Whittier Daily News reported Armando Ramirez accepted a plea deal that could have resulted in a nine year sentence if found guilty at trial.

Police seek tips after fatal Hit-and-Run
Whittier- Police are seeking help in identifying the driver that killed a bicyclist then fled the scene after dragging his body several blocks from where the collision occurred.
The accident occurred at about 7:30 am Monday morning at Calmada Avenue and Flomar Drive where police found only a damaged bike in the street.
A short time later the body of a man in his 40's was found in the middle of a roadway in the 13900 block of Dittmar Drive after his body had been dragged underneath the car according to witnesses.
The suspect is described only as a female in a newer model White Lexus with black and white dealer plates. The vehicle has major damage to the windshield including a hole.
KTLA is reporting the man was dragged from 500 to 800 feet.
Anyone that witnessed the accident or has any information about the identity of the driver are asked to contact investigators at 562 567-9261.
Two-alarm fire damages home near Los Coyotes Country Club
Buena Park- No one was injured in a residential fire at 10:15 am this morning that could be seen from parts of La Mirada.
The Orange County Register reports a break in a natural gas line delayed the firefighters from extinguishing the blaze.

LMHS basketball host league rival Cerritos
The Matadores (6-2) boys team seek to win their third game in a row tonight at a 6:30 pm home game against the second-place (7-1) Dons, winner of their last five games.
Mayfair (7-0) leads the Suburban League, and are undefeated in league games.
