Guilty verdict rendered in the murder of four in South Whittier

NORWALK- A jury found a South Whittier man guilty of murdering his girlfriend in late 2003, and the killing of three men answering a used car ad in early 2004 the Whittier Daily News reports.

On Monday jurors will begin hearing testimony in the penalty phase that will determine if Cimarron Bell, 36, will be sentenced to California's Death Row.

Bell killed his girlfriend Ineka Edmondason, of Compton and dumped her body in a car in La Habra after suspecting she was skimming money of illegal activities they were involved in together.

A few months later in a case that shocked the community, three men were killed after answering a used car ad Bell had placed to attract a prospective buyer with large amounts of cash to his South Whittier home with robbery in mind.

The bodies of Fernando Pina, 25, from Zacatecas, Mexico, Mario Larios, 23, and Edgar Valles,22, both of West Covina were found Jan. 30 in Larios' car behind a strip mall at Telegraph Road and Armsdale Avenue in La Mirada.

  1. What's a darkie like Cimarron Bell doing in South Whittier anyway? He should have kept his rear end in south central where it belonged. Someone should have known he was up to no good and given him the boot outta Whittier before these murders ever happened.

  2. You need to get your facts together. In what is know as historic south central los angeles, it is 87% hispanic. People have the right to live where ever they want. Perhaps you might want to high tail it to North Dakota, the population there is 90% white.
