NORWALK- Several La Mirada patrol units and sergeant responded to an officer needs help call after a man with a gun ran from deputies into a residence near the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Pontlavoy Street shortly before 10 a.m.
Deputies quickly surrounded the neighborhood west of Carmenita Road and called in the Sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) SWAT team and canine dogs to assist in the search.
The suspect surrendered to the SWAT team without further incident shortly after noon.
