The city of La Mirada issued a statement Thursday affirming their commitment to operating the city in a fiscally conservative manner.

According to city officials the salary for the position of City Manager, currently held by Tom Robinson has been frozen at $187,300 for three years.
The last cost of living allowance for city workers was in June 2008.
For anyone with concerns that city council members are pulling down big bucks as in Bell amounts, not so here in La Mirada.
Pay for sitting on the council is $1,009.53 plus health and retirement benefits enjoyed by other city workers. In addition there is an $30 each for attending Redevelopment Agency meetings that are held in combination with general council meetings.
