'Bubble Wrap Bandit' implicated in latest La Mirada bank robbery


Tuesday's robbery at the La Mirada branch of the Bank of the West is beleived by FBI investigators to have been commiitted by a suspect dubbed the "Bubble Wrap Bandit'.

The "Bubble Wrap Bandit' has also been connected to early robberies in November 2009 and again in South Gate in July.

The moniker was picked by the FBI after having a brown manilla envelope with air filled bubble wrapping inside the envelope.

The suspect is described by FBI investigators as being 35-42 years of age, 6'00 and 220 lbs.

In Tuesday's robbery he fled in a red 4-door passenger vehicle.
