3:30 a.m. A previously reported misdemeanor arrest for possession of a controlled substance at Foster Rd and Marquardt Ave was reclassified as possession and transport for the purpose of trafficking/sales of illegal narcotics, a felony.
8:00 a.m. Shoplifting was reported in the 15800 block of Imperial Hwy.
11:32 p.m. A tractor (the 18-wheeler kind) was reported stolen from the 16600 block of Knott Ave.
Friday, Nov. 2
2:37 a.m. An overnight break-in of a commercial vehicle parked in the 12300 block of La Pomelo Ave was reported to deputies.
10:45 a.m. A locker was broken into at the '24-Hour Fitness' gym in the 13300 block of Beach Blvd.
Saturday, Nov. 3
12:38 a.m. Vandalism was reported in the 14700 block of Beach Blvd.
3:30 a.m. A tailgate was stolen off a vehicle in the 14000 block of Lynmark St.
11:00 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from La Mirada County Regional Park.
8:13 p.m. A misdemeanor arrest was made in the 14200 block of Firestone Blvd for possession of a controlled substance.
9:48 p.m. An assault was reported in the 15300 block of Ocaso Ave.
Sunday, Nov. 4
4:30 a.m. Three storage units were broken into at Public Storage, 15034 Alondra Blvd.
11:33 p.m. An arrest was made at Marquardt Ave and Bora Dr for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Monday, Nov. 5
6:34 a.m. Shoplifting was reported in the 15200 block of Rosecrans Ave.
7:43 p.m. A misdemeanor arrest was made in the 15800 block of Imperial Hwy. for possession of a controlled substance.
11:00 p.m. A theft of auto parts or accessories was reported in the 14700 block of Artesia Blvd.
Tuesday, Nov. 6
1:45 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from the 15300 block of Santa Gertrudes Ave.
Wednesday, Nov. 7
1:59 a.m. Shoplifting was reported in the 15200 block of Rosecrans Ave.
2:30 p.m. A misdemeanor arrest was made at Foster Rd and De Alcala Dr for possession of a controlled substance.
Thursday, Nov 8
6:30 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from the 13800 block of Larwin Rd.
1:10 p.m. A trespassing arrest was made in the 14600 block of Firestone Blvd. The Sheriff's Dept. has been conducting directed patrols of the freeway construction staging and surplus land areas due to a number crimes that have been associated with homeless and other upstanding citizen's in this area.
Friday, Nov 9
1:10 p.m. A felony arrest was made in the 12800 block of Biola Ave for a weapons law crime.
4:23 p.m. Deputies responding to a report of a disturbance involving an unstable person near the front of the La Mirada Albertson's.encountered something completely different when they arrived.
Norwalk Station 911 received additional reports while deputies were responding that an attempted a carjacking suspect was fighting with other persons.
Deputies found the fight had moved to near the Chuck-E-Cheese's and was still on and when deputies attempted to detain the suspect began resisting deputies, wanting to fight with them too.
Guess who came out on top on this one without even breaking a sweat?
The mini-brawl broke out when a Good Samaritan observed the suspect attempting to take a vehicle from a shopper by force, and the witness decided to intervene on behalf of the victim.
The suspect had attempted a carjacking against another victim just prior to this incident.
Several witnesses to the incident told La Mirada News the suspect frequents the area, is homeless, and creates problems regularly.

5:30 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from the 12700 block of Oxford Dr.

3:32 a.m. A trespass arrest was made at Biola University.
4:30 p.m. Felony shoplifting (loss of $950 or more) was reported in the 15800 block of Imperial Hwy.
Monday, Nov. 12
1:18 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from the 16700 block of Valley View Ave.
Tuesday, Nov. 13
6:07 a.m. A theft amounting to a felony due to the loss amount was reported an unlocked vehicle in the 12800 block of Valley View Ave.
Wednesday, Nov 14
1:45 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from the 16200 block of Ocaso Ave.
Monday, Nov. 19
8:00 p.m. An assault related to domestic violence was reported in the 12200 block of La Mirada Blvd.
Saturday, Nov. 24
4:20 p,m. A theft from an unlocked vehicle amounting to 'Felony Grand Theft' due to the loss ($950 or more) was reported in the 15500 block of Dalmation Ave.
Sunday, Nov. 25
9:45 p.m. An arrest was made felony aggravated assault in the 14500 block of Leffingwell Rd. after a man was reported to have beaten one or two homeless individuals behind the 99 cent store.
