The driver was not suspected of being impaired and remained at the scene of the accident that was reported about 5:28 p.m.
The girl of died from her injuries after being rushed to an area trauma center. The father remains hospitalized.

The girl that died in last night's accident was identified by the Orange County Coroner's Office as Harley Ferris. She would have turned age three today.
Harley was rushed to the trauma unit at UCI Medical Center in the city of Orange where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Mourners have been stopping by with flowers, candles, and balloons near the site of the accident throughout the day.
The little girl was holding hands with her father, Robert Ferris, 32, of Whiiter as they were crossing mid-block when they struck by a car driven by a 39 year-old man who was sober and remained at the scene.
The father remains in critical condition.

My heart is broken to hear this I live on First Ave and walk with my daughter every night and we just said how everyone is in a hurry to go no where and not watching out for anyone This is so sad so young I pray for the Family please start a GO FUND ME.
